El Rincon - Gaucin - ANDALUCIA, SPAIN

Light and spacious village house with pretty views over the village and mountains beyond. Although recently built, it has the distinctive, traditional character of Andalucia, with terracotta floors and arched niches.

Above rates are for 3 to 4 guests. If there are only 1 or 2 guests the prices are:
Jan-Mar, Nov-Dec:  €414/week
Apr-Oct: €504/week
Also: 10% discount for stays of 2 weeks or more.

The ground floor has the entrance hall, dining/sitting room with fireplace, WIFI Internet access, kitchen (hob, oven, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher) and a room with an indoor plunge pool (1.7 x 2.65 metres, 1.3 deep) which leads out to a small patio.

The first floor has 2 bedrooms - 1 with double bed and 1 with two twins, both with en-suite bathrooms.

On the second floor is the spacious living room with Satellite TV and DVD which leads out the a large open terrace with lovely views over the village, the mountains and down to the bay of Algeciras.

The central heating makes El Rincon very suitable for winter lets.

Due to the hilly terrain of the village and the steep stairways of the house, this rental is not recommended for the very elderly or the infirm.

Gaucin is a beautiful mountain village with sweeping views to Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of north Africa. It is situated against the spectacular backdrop of the Serrania de Ronda. It sits 2000 feet above sea level on the crest of the Sierra del Hacho, and due to its key strategic position was once a major Roman settlement. Its castle, Castillo del Aguila dates from this era and was later expanded by the Arabs into a fortress.
