Cortijo Las Colinas

Cortijo Las Colinas is in an idyllic spot with uninterrupted views of the surrounding hills, dotted with traditional white andalucian houses. Perfectly positioned for those who just wish to unwind, for the more active there is plenty to do and see in the area.

Ground Floor
Large lounge/dining room, with sound system, and a good selection of books and games. From the lounge a door opening directly onto the terraces and swimming pool. Also on this floor is the fully equipped kitchen.
First Floor
A staircase from the lounge/dining room leads to the first floor. To the right are 4 good sized bedrooms 3 double and 1 twin all have ceiling fans and en suite shower rooms. To the left is a balcony area with table and chairs, a fabulous place to watch the sun set.
Outside
2 large terraces, 1 of which is shaded by vines. a swimming pool ( 5.7m x 3.6m depth 1.7m ) filtered by a natural salt filter. In the extensive enclosed gardens there are paths ,seating areas, barbecue, fish pond, pretty moroccan fountain and plenty of parking space. Beyond the enclosed area are many olive trees, where you are free to roam.

* Please note the pool does not have a shallow end or fencing so we do not consider the property suitable for young children.

General
For the colder months the house is centrally heated by a pellet burning stove, hot water is provided by solar panels.

 There are a number of interesting towns nearby including ALCALA LA REAL topped by an historic FORT, which also has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. PRIEGO DE CORDOBA a very beautiful white moorish town worth exploring. In the surrounding area there are many traditional white villages to be discovered. Further afield the possibilities include, GRANADA with fascinating cobbled streets and the ALHAMBRA PALACE (not to be missed) nearby the Sierra Nevada snow topped for much of the year. Also CORDOBA with the Mezquita, JAEN and more. The coast can be reached in about 2 hours.
For the active the area is perfect for WALKING or MOUNTAIN BIKES as you are free to roam the many tracks through the olives, which lead to some amazing views. Also less than an hour by car takes you to SUBBETICA National Park with its marked trails.
